Sympathy

Today's card was created for my dear friend. Her mother suddenly passed away and I wanted to send her a card with my love, thoughts and prayers. These types of cards are so difficult. Here are three different versions. Still not sure which I like best.

The other difficult thing is the sentiment. What do you write in a sympathy card? I struggle to say the right thing..something comforting. Any ideas?
Thanks for stopping by!

  1. All cards are gorgeous. Sympathy cards are indeed not the easiest ones to make. And the inside is even more difficult.

  2. Beautiful cards. I think you did a fabulous job. I'm sorry to hear about your friends mom :(

  3. All the cards are really nice. I agree that writing sympathy cards is difficult, but I can't remember a single sympathy card that I received when my dad died where I thought, "well, that was a stupid thing to say." I think in that situation it just feels good to be thought of and prayed for. I do remember the most meaningful, though. It was actually a letter that I received a month or two after Dad passed away. It was from a friend that I grew up with that recounted some of her favorite memories of my dad. That was really meaningful to me. Sorry about your friend's mom. Glad you're there for her, though.
